if you unfold something that was folded, or if it unfolds, it opens out

 if a series of events unfolds, they happen

ex) The audience watched as the story unfolded before their eyes.

관객들은 자신들의 눈앞에서 그 이야기가 펼쳐지는 것을 지켜보았다

· milestone [máilstòun] 중요한[획기적인] 단계[사건]

a very important event in the development of something

ex) Once we reach the first milestone, we can move on to the next one. 

첫 번째 중요한 지점에 도달하면, 그 다음으로 나아갈 수 있습니다.

· succumb [sǝkʌm] ́ 굴복하다, 무릎을 꿇다

to stop opposing someone or something that is stronger than you, and allow them to take control 

ex) Do not succumb to despair, and learn to overcome adversity.

절망에 굴복하지 말고 역경을 극복하는 것을 배웁시다.

adversity [ædvəː́ rsǝti] 역경, 불운,재난

· lack [læk] 결핍되다, 모자라다

to not have something that you need, or not have enough of it

ex) To our surprise, Korea is one of the countries that lack water
