Maintaining a steadfast mind is harder than dying. The mind is apt to change in twelve different ways, so preserve a single mind as steadfast as pine and bamboo.
Keep your lips as heavy as the Kunlun Mountains  and your mind as deep as the Yellow River.

마음 지키기가 죽기보다 어려우니라. 사람 마음이 열두 가지로 변하나니, 오직 송죽(松竹)처럼 한마음을 잘 가지라.

口重崑崙山하고 心深黃河水하라
구중곤륜산       심심황하수

입 무겁기를 곤륜산같이 하고 마음 깊기를 황하수같이 하라.
