1 Early in the morning of September 19, Taemonim offered a chiseong commemorating the sixtieth anniversary of Sangjenim’s incarnation, and after the chiseong, she sang:

19일 새벽에 태모님께서 상제님 회갑치성을 올리시고 노래하시니 이러하니라.

2 Even incomparable sages cannot be so if the time is not right.

만고의 성인도 때 아니면 될 수 있나.

3 Revealing and observing the stars in heaven, I see that all affairs are what they should be.

천문(天文) 열고 바라보니 만사가 여일(如一)하고

4 Opening the gate that lies ahead and peering through it,

I see that all wishes are certainly fulfilled.

앞문 열고 내다보니 소원성취 분명하고

5 Opening the eight gates and peering through them,

I see that all spirits and humanity resolve their bitterness and grief.

팔문 열고 내다보니 만신인민(萬神人民) 해원이라.

6 Having cultivated and purified themselves with dao

for fifty thousand years to encounter that year, that month, that day,

they now free themselves from the karma amassed throughout the ages.

그 해 그 달 그 날 만나려고 오만 년을 수도하여 아승기겁(阿僧祇劫) 벗었다네.

7 Now is the destiny unparalleled by what has been and what will be:

the destiny of heaven unparalleled by what has been and what will be,

the destiny of earth unparalleled by what has been and what will be.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful is our time.

전무후무 운수로다

전무후무 천운이요

전무후무 지운(地運)이네

좋을씨구 좋을씨구 우리 시절 좋을씨구

8 Only when the three successively become great buddhas

will all affairs under heaven be completely revealed,

so how could anyone know in the meantime?

삼련불성(三聯佛成)되게 되면

천하만사 아련마는 어느 누가 알쏘냐.

9 People of the world!

Worry not about the destiny of heaven and earth,

merely cultivate and purify your minds.

아동방 창생들아!

천지운수 염려 말고 마음 ‘심’ 자 닦아 보세.

10 If you cultivate and purify your mind, will ageless immortality not be yours?

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful is our time.

마음 심 자 닦고 보면 불로불사 아닐런가.

좋을씨구 좋을씨구 우리 시절 좋을씨구.

11 The work that has been ruled and approved —how can the people of the world know of it?

Some people are one way, and some people are another.

판결 나고 결재 난 일 세상 사람 어이 알랴

어떤 사람 저러하고 어떤 사람 이러한가.

12 A person is not a human being, but is a human being when they are truly a human being.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful is our time.

사람이면 사람인가 사람이라야 사람이지

좋을씨구 좋을씨구 우리 시절 좋을씨구.

13 In this unfortunate world, to what will you devote your unwavering mind to cultivate meritorious deeds before heaven and earth?

불운한 이 세상에 일편심을 어데 두고

천지 공(功)을 닦을 손가.

14 Cultivate and purify yourself with dao through a right mind.

When you cultivate and purify yourself with dao through a right mind,

your becoming a true human is certain.

정심수도(正心修道) 닦아 내세

정심수도 닦고 보면 사람 노릇 분명하지.

15 If you never waver for even a single moment throughout spring, summer, autumn, and winter, and you cultivate and purify yourself with sincerity, awakenedness, and faithfulness,

your becoming a seed of humanity is certain.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful is our time.

춘하추동 사시절에 일시라도 변치 말고

성경신 닦아 내서 사람 종자 분명하니 좋을씨구 좋을씨구 우리 시절 좋을씨구.

16 The time of Holy Maitreya Buddha has arrived.

Wonderful is our time.

미륵존불 때가 와서 우리 시절 좋을씨구.
