The Power of the Taeeulju and Unjangju Mantras

태을주와 운장주의 신권(神權)

-Dojeon 9:199-

Sangjenim one day revealed to the disciples,

하루는 성도들에게 이르시기를

“I have tested the power of the Taeeulju Mantra and the Unjangju Mantra,

“태을주(太乙呪)와운장주(雲長呪)를내가 시험하였나니

so you must chant them at all times.

너희들은 많이 읽으라.

I have resolved Gim Byeong-uk’s tribulation with the Taeeulju Mantra,

일찍이 김병욱(金秉旭)의 화는 태을주로 풀었고,

and I have resolved the Jang Hyo-sun uproar with the Unjangju Mantra.

장효순(張孝淳)의 난은 운장주로 끌렀노라.

Even should one commit treason,

태을주는 역률(逆律)을 범하였을지라도

the Taeeulju Mantra will open the gate of their prison;

옥문이 스스로 열리고

even should one be convicted of murder,

운장주는 살인죄에 걸렸을지라도

the Unjangju Mantra will open the gate of their prison.”

옥문이 스스로 열리느니라.” 하시니라.

“The Wish-Fulfilling Jewel Dosu is the Taeeulju Mantra,

여의주(如意珠) 도수는 태을주니라.

for the mantra resolves all hindrances and actualizes all that is willed.

만사무기(萬事無忌), 만사여의(萬事如意)하니

Hoom-chi is the sound of calling out to the Father and the Mother.

‘훔치’는 아버지, 어머니 부르는 소리니

The Yullyeo Dosu is the Taeeulju Mantra.

율려(律呂) 도수는 태을주니라.

The Taeeulju Mantra is the mantra of finding your roots,

태을주는 뿌리 찾는 주문이요

and it is the mantra of resolving your ancestral spirits’ bitterness and grief and fulfilling their wishes.”

선령 해원 주문이니라.
