1 Taemonim would always say, “It will not come to pass with My children; My work shall be fulfilled beyond the mainstream and then supersede it.”

태모님께서 항상 말씀하시기를 “내 새끼들 중에서는 안 되고 판밖에서 성도하여 들어오리라.” 하시니

2 These words were terribly unsettling to the disciples, but they dared not ask Her about their meaning.

성도들은 너무나 충격적인 말씀이나 감히 그 연유를 여쭈지 못하니라.

3 One day when Taemonim again repeated these words, Min-hwan finally asked Her, “You always speak those very words. Please teach me, today, the reason why the dao will be fulfilled beyond the mainstream and then enter into it.”

하루는 태모님께서 또 그 말씀을 하시므로 민환이 여쭈기를 “늘 그와 같이 말씀하시는데 오늘은 왜 판밖에서 성도하여 들어오는지 그 이유를 가르쳐 주십시오.” 하니

4 But Taemonim would not articulate an answer beyond merely exclaiming, “Humph!”

태모님께서 아무 대답도 않으시고 다만 “흥!” 하실 뿐이더라.

You Must Traverse a Terrible Plight

한 지경을 넘어야 하리니

5 The disciples one day ardently implored Taemonim, “Mother, please let gaebyeok arrive as soon as possible to bring about a magnificent world.”

하루는 성도들이 태모님께 간절히 청하기를 “어머니, 하루 속히 개벽이 되어 좋은 세상이 이루어지게 하옵소서.” 하니

6 “Even if you wait until your black hair turns white, that will not come to pass,” Taemonim said. “Do not wait.”

말씀하시기를 “너희들 검은 머리가 흰 파뿌리 되도록 기다려도 어림없다.” 하시고 “기다리지 마라.” 하시니라.

7 Taemonim also declared, “There are predestined dosu in heaven and earth, so do not trouble yourselves about the coming of the time, but reform your minds.

또 말씀하시기를 “천지에는 정해진 도수가 있나니 때 오기를 걱정하지 말고 너희 마음 심(心) 자나 고쳐 놓아라.” 하시고

8 In the times to come, you must traverse a terrible plight, which concerns Me.

“너희들이 앞으로 한 지경을 넘어야 하리니 나는 그것을 걱정하노라.” 하시니라.
