[성구 어휘]

amidst [ǝmídst] (=amid, midst) 1 ~가운데, ~하는 와중에

ex) Amid the heated dispute over gun control, shooting incidents have occurred in succession.

총기 규제 논란이 이어지는 가운데 총기 난사 사건은 이어지고 있다.

resplendence [rispléndǝns] (형. resplendent) 광휘, 눈부심, 빛남

ex) Her appearance created an air of resplendence at the party.

그녀가 나타나자 그 파티의 분위기가 화사해졌다
