Gaebyeok of the Early Heaven, Gaebyeok of the Later Heaven

선천과 후천에 각기 개벽이 있느니라

“There is gaebyeok of the Early Heaven,

선천에도 개벽이 있고

and there is gaebyeok of the Later Heaven.

후천에도 개벽이 있나니

If you contemplate what occurred in the past,

옛적 일(上古之事)을 더듬어 보면

you shall know what will occur in the future;

다가올 일(來到之事)을 알고

if you understand what the future holds,

다가올 일을 알면

you shall understand My work.

나의 일을 아느니라.

You must understand the principles concerning the cosmic cycle of change

우주의 순환 이치를 알아야

to find your way to this path.

이 길을 찾을 수 있느니라.

“One is enlightenment into the principle of change,

일왈(一曰) 통(通)이요,

two is spiritual awakening,

이왈(二曰) 개안(開眼)이요,

and three is the transmittal of the teachings.”

삼왈(三曰) 포교(布敎)니라.
